Moyezuddin’s wife passes away

Bilkis Moyezuddin, mother of State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki, died of cancer at Square Hospital in the city Friday night at the age of 75, reports BSS.
Bilkis, wife of Shaheed Moyezuddin, who was an organiser of the War of Liberation in 1971 and also a close associate of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, breathed her last at 11:10 pm Friday.
She left behind her five daughters, one son and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
After receiving the news, Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina, Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haq went to visit her at the hospital.
President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have expressed deep shock at the death of Bilkis Moyezuddin.
