Mozena condoles deaths in launch capsize

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena on Friday expressed his deep shock at the loss of lives in launch MV Miraj–4 sinking in Meghna River in Munshiganj. “On behalf of everyone at the US Embassy, I offer my sympathies and prayers to the victims, their families, and the people of Bangladesh,” he said in a message. The US envoy appreciated the efforts given by many first responders who are assisting with rescue and recovery operations. The Sureshwar-bound launch, ‘MV Miraj-4’, carrying over 200 passengers sank in Meghna at Daulatpur in Gazaria Upazila of Munshiganj on Thursday afternoon after it was caught by a violent storm, according to UNB.
