MP Ashiqur Rahman suffers electrocution

RANGPUR, Sept 25: HN Ashiqur Rahman, a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Rangpur-5 constituency, received injuries due to electrocution while speaking after an Eid congregation at Faridpur in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur on Friday morning.
Locals said Ashiqur Rahman came in contact with a live wire of a mike he was using while speaking after the Eid congregation around 9:00 am.
Rescued by police, he was admitted to Rangpur Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
