MSC earn 10-wicket win over Dhaka Cricketers

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) secured a comprehensive 10-wicket win over Dhaka Cricketers in the 5th National Women's Club Cricket League at the BKSP ground-4 in Savar Thursday, reports UNB.
In the day's other matches, Gulshan Youth Club outplayed Dipali Jubo Sangha by a massive 127 runs at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium while Kalabagan KC defeated Indira Road KC by 80 runs at BKSP ground-2.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss Dhaka Cricketers were dismissed cheaply for 56 in 37 overs with middle order Shahida Akhter making to the double figure scoring 55-ball 10 runs.
Five Mohammedan bowlers- Naznin Nahar, Salma Khatun. Tahin Tahera, Ayesha Rahman and Pabitra Roy grabbed two wickets each, conceding I, 5, 6, 9 and 11 runs respectively.
Chasing a small target, Mohammedan SC faced no trouble to reach the match-winning 57 for no loss in just 4.4 overs.
Opener Ayesha Rahman, who claimed two wickets for 9 runs, also displayed her brilliance in batting and contributed an unbeaten 47 runs off just 25 balls.
She struck six fours and two sixes and was adjudged player of the match.
Shathira Jakir scored not out 7 runs in four balls with one four.
At Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium, Gulshan Youth Club opened the innings first after winning the toss and were all out for 186 runs in 36.5 overs.
Opener Mahmuda Khan (54) hammered a half century off 58 balls with seven boundaries. She won the player of the match prize.
Besides, Jannatul Ferdousi (33), Farzana Haque (27) and Ishma Tanjim (25) were the other major contributors for Gulshan Youth Club.
Joyti Chouhan picked up three wickets for 36 runs while Nasrin Akhter, Jafrin Ruhaniath and Urmy Khatun took two wickets each.
In reply, Dipali Jubo Sangha were dismissed for 59 runs in 32 overs with Anu Akhter making the double figure scoring 67-ball 15 runs including two fours.
Fahima Khatun captured three wickets for four runs, Rima Akhter also grabbed three wickets for 15 runs while Sabikun Nahar Jesmin took two wickets for 22 runs.
At BKSP ground-2, Kalabagan KC batted first after winning the toss and scored a moderate 151 for 8 in stipulated 40 overs.
Opener Rozina Akhter (27), Ayesha Akhter (23), Tanifa Parvin (23) and Lily Rani (16) were the notable contributors for Kalabagan KC reaching double digit while another 37 runs of the innings came from extras.
Sheuli Bain captured two wickets for 22 runs while Shima Akhter and Shamia Islam took one wicket each.
In reply, Indira Road KC were bundled out for 71 runs in 29.4 overs with Sheuli Akhter making not out 23 and Jobaida Nur 18 runs.
Kadeza Akhter China made major damage in Indira Road innings grabbing three wickets for 11 runs in her eight-over spell.
She was named player of the match.
Baby Saha also claimed three wickets for 9 runs in four overs while Lily Rani bagged two for 14 runs.
