MSC stay in title race with unbeaten record

Mohammedan SC came from behind to register a 3-1 goals victory over spirited Rahmatganj MFS in the lone match of the Citycell Bangladesh League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium Saturday, reports UNB.
The match was locked 1-1 during the first half.
With the day's win, Mohammedan SC stayed in the title race with unbeaten record securing 48 points from 18 matches while the old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj remained at 19 points from 17 outings.
Holders Abahani Limited dominates the league table with unbeaten record securing 52 points from 18 matches.
In the day's match, Nigerian striker Bukola Olalikan struck twice and local striker Zahid Hasan Emily scored the other goal for the traditional black and white Mohammedans. Mohammad Mamun netted the lone goal for Rahmatganj.
Although Mohammedan SC won the match, but their performance could not impress some 1,500 soccer fans at the big bowl, especially in the first half.
Kamal Babu's spirited Rahmatganj MFS, which held their giant rival Mohammedans 1-1 till the 79th minute of the match, conceded two goals in the last 21 minutes.
Mohammad Mamun put Rahmatganj MFS ahead in the 26th minute by a cool header from close, capitalizing on a right wing cross from Nigerian Paul, silencing the few Mohammedans fans at the stadium (1-0).
Meritorious Nigerian striker Bukola restored parity for Mohammedan SC in the 32nd minute by a header from a goalmouth melee, off right wing free kick of Mamunul Islam (1-1).
Bukola put Mohammedan ahead in the 69th minute again scoring by a header, off a Wali Faisal cross, as the ball kissed the Rahmatganj net hitting the cross bar (2-1).
Zahid Hasan Emily completed the Mohammedan tally just two minutes before the final whistle by an accurate shot from danger zone, off a right wing centre from medio Zahid Hossain (3-1).
Earlier, in the 33rd minute, Paul of Rahmatganj failed to score finding Mohamamedan's national colour custodian Aminul Haque in one to one situation.
