MTB-Drishti debate competition held

CHITTAGONG, Mar 28: The Mutual Trust Bank-Drishti Business Idea competition concluded in the city recently. The participants expressed their ideas in new inventions on the issue titled social business.
In the final round of the competition Chittagong University (CU) and Cantonment English School became champions in the university and school categories. Runner-ups were Premier University and Chittagong Collegiate School.
The debate competition organised for the fifth year started on March 17 in the city. A total of 24 teams from all universities and eight leading schools participated in the business idea debate competition.
The final event was attended as adjudicators by corporate personality Asif Iqbal, CU teacher Dr Mosharraf Hossain and vice-president of the PHP Group Md Mohsin.
Presided over by Drishti Chittagong president Masud Bakul, the concluding session was attended by deputy managing director of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd Md Hashem Chowdhury, managing editor of Daily Azadi Wahid Malek, Drishti Chittagong vice-president Saif Chowdhury, secretary Banokusum Barua Nupur, joint secretary Saber Shah and assistant coordinator Zunaid Koushik Chowdhury. Adjudicators in the school level debate were Arif Zia, Saif Chowdhury and Sadia Akter, a press release said.
