MTB FOUNDATION OBSERVES WHITE CANE SAFETY DAY

Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) Foundation recently observed White Cane Safety Day 2024 in partnership with Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID) through an event. It raised awareness about the white cane as a symbol of independence and mobility for the visually impaired. Distribution of white canes, braille kits and assistive devices to visually impaired students funded by MTB Foundation was the key objective of the event. Samia Chowdhury, chief executive officer, and Khandaker Jahurul Alam, CSID executive director, were present at the programme, among others.
