MTB gets new chairman, vice chairman

Md. Hedayetullah and Khwaja Nargis Hossain have been elected chairman and vice chairman of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) respectively at the 222nd meeting of the board of directors of the bank recently, according to a statement.
Md. Hedayetullah, a sponsor-director of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) and chairman of Hedayetullah Securities Limited, has been elected chairman of the bank and of its three subsidiary companies - MTB Securities Limited, MTB Capital Limited and MTB Exchange (UK) Limited.
Prior to this new assignment, he was the vice chairman of MTB from February 26, 2016 to May 30, 2018. Earlier he served as the chairman of the board executive committee of the bank.
Mr. Hedayetullah also served as the managing director of FB Footwear Limited, managing director of Footbed Footwear Limited, director of Apex Tannery Limited and director of Apex Property Development Limited.
He obtained B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Leather Technology from the British School of Leather Technology, Northampton, UK and M.A. in International Business from Webster University, Regents College in London, UK, the statement said.
Khwaja Nargis Hossain is the managing director of SAHCO Securities Limited and also the corporate director of SAHCO International Limited.
She is serving as the member of BOAO Forum for Asia (BFA), China, a non-profit international organization, formed by twenty six Asian countries and Australia for socio-economic development of the people of Asia and rest of the world.
Nargis Hossain has received master's degree in Islamic History from the University of Dhaka, the statement added.
