MTB holds half yrly managers' conference

Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) held its half- yearly managers' conference 2008 at Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Centre recently. MTB Chairman Samson H Chowdhury attended the meeting as chief guest and Managing Director Kazi Md Shafiqur Rahman presided over the event, a press release said.
In his speech Samson H Chowdhury stressed the need for maintaining transparency and accountability in banking services and said since MTB values corporate culture where reward and punishment are in place, its staff members have bigger role in shouldering the responsibility of materialising the objectives of the bank.
He asked the staff members to achieve the bank's goal and target set for the rest of the year through rendering best possible support to the clients.
MTB Founder Chairman Syed Manzur Elahi, Deputy Managing Director Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, among others, were also present in the function.
Senior executives of the bank, all branch managers and officials concerned participated in the conference.
MD Shafiqur Rahman in his inaugural speech put stress on the need of discharging duties with sincerity and dedication by all staff members.
He further gave directives on various issues related to achieving target set by the management.
The programme ended with a business session where branch targets for the remaining month of the current year were set for all branch managers.
