MTB holds workshop on anti- money laundering

Mutual Trust Bank Ltd (MTB) organised a day long workshop on anti- money laundering at Agrabad Hotel in Chittagong recently, said a press release.
Managing Director of MTB Kazi Md Shafiqur Rahman inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest while General Manager of Bangladesh Bank, Chittagong SK Sur Chowdhury was present as the special guest.
Chowdhury appreciated the initiative of MTB for holding the workshop on anti- money laundering.
Shafiqur Rahman gave much importance on newly enacted money laundering prevention ordinance 2008. He said the training would help gain knowledge in account opening and KYC procedures. He reiterated the bank's firm commitment to remain fully compliant in all respects including the AML issues and core risks.
Among others, SVP and Manager of Agrabad branch Nazrul Islam, SVP and Manager of Khatunganj branch Sirajul Islam and VP Swapan Kumar Biswas were present on the occasion.
A total of 110 participants from all branches of greater Chittagong region attended the workshop.
