MTB inaugurates first solar energy driven bank branch in Pabna

Mutual Trust Bank Ltd (MTB) has opened the country's first ever solar energy driven SME/Agri branch at Ishwardi in Pabna Monday, said a press release.
MTB Chairman Samson H Chowdhury formally inaugurated the branch at a simple ceremony.
MTB Founding Chairman Syed Manzur Elahi, Managing Director and CEO Anis A Khan, local elite, leading businessmen, people of different strata and senior MTB officials also attended the function.
Samson H Chowdhury said that Mutual Trust Bank is very keen to play a pioneering role in sustainable development of the country by making balanced contributions to both the rural and urban areas.
He also said that the bank management had been working hard to assist the vulnerable sections of the society and save the country from the adverse effects of climate change.
He mentioned that opening of the country's 1st ever solar energy driven SME/Agri Branch at Ishwardi is the manifestation of the bank's commitment to the society.
Syed Manzur Elahi said that the primary objective of the bank is to make valuable contributions to the economic development of the country
Anis A Khan said that the MTB board of directors has empowered the bank management to work for the development of the country in every possible way.
He said that the bank had already launched tailor-made products for SMEs, women entrepreneurs, agriculture, rural and sustainable energy sectors and also for the nonresident Bangladeshis, which are delivered through the branches and offices being opened at every nook and corner of the country.
