MTB launches new year calendar

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) Sunday launched the company's calendar for the year 2010, aiming to generate public awareness over global worming and its effect on Bangladesh.
MTB founder chairman Syed Manzur Elahi formally launched the company calendar as chief guest in a launching ceremony at a city hotel.
The calendar was comprised of 12 pictures over global worming, its effect and preventive suggestions along with short elaboration. Total 11 out of its 12 pictures were from Bangladesh, the bank official announced.
"It is our commitment to generate public awareness over the causes and effects of climate change," Syed Manzur Elahi said in his address, announcing to initiate 'follow-up' programs related to this issue.
"We have undertaken several funding schemes to environment friendly projects as per encouragement," Mr Elahi said.
