MTB Securities opens branch at Sylhet

MTB Securities Ltd, the stock brokerage arm of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd (MTB), opened its branch at Zinda Bazar in Sylhet, said a press release.
Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed, president of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), inaugurated the new branch as the chief guest at a simple ceremony held at a local hotel Monday.
Golam Hyder, general manager of Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet branch, was present as special guest on the occasion.
MTB Managing Director and CEO Anis A Khan and senior executives, capital market investors, leading business personalities and local elite attended the inaugural function.
Fakhor Uddin Ali Ahmed said there is no alternative to expansion of capital market for development of the country's economy.
He expressed the hope that the opening of MTB Securities' Sylhet branch would contribute to the growth of the country's capital market.
Anis A Khan, in his address of welcome, said MTB is interested in bringing stock brokerage services to every nook and corner of the country.
He said new products for capital market are being introduced to meet the growing demands of the customers.
