MTBL signs deal on green project with BB

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTBL) has recently signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank (BB) on refinancing of sustainable energy projects, the bank said in a statement.
MTBL Managing Director Anis A Khan and BB Executive Director Md Abul Quasem signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at BB Head Office in the city recently.
BB Governor Dr Atiur Rahman and Deputy Governor Md Nazrul Huda and MTBL Deputy Managing Director Ahsan-uz Zaman were present at the signing ceremony.
Under the deal, MTBL will get refinancing facility from the BB for onward lending to its customers for setting up solar energy projects, bio-gas and effluent treatment plants.
