MTBL signs MoU with SDI, LSBPC

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTBL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Society for Development Initiatives (SDI) and Leather Sector Business Promotion Council (LSBPC) at its head office in the city recently, said a press release.
MTBL Managing Director Kazi Md Shafiqur Rahman, and SDI Executive Director Shamsul Haque and LSBPC Programme Manager Ishrat Jahan signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Economist Atiur Rahman and Giovanni Dadaglio of ITC-Geneva were present as the chief guest and the special guest respectively on the occasion.
ITC National Consultant Mohammad Hossain and high officials of the bank were also present on the occasion.
Under the MoU, the bank allowed a dedicated credit facility to SDI at an interest of 7.0 per cent as concession for exploring under-privileged producers of footwear and leather goods of Bangladesh to promote the sector.
