Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini passes away

Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini, chairman of a faction of Islami Oikya Jote (IOJ), died of cardiac arrest at the city's Ibn Sina Hospital on Tuesday night, hospital sources said, reports UNB.
Amini was an MP from 2002 to 2007 and the Vice Chancellor of Jamia Qurania Arabia Lalbagh, Dhaka.
In the 2001 parliamentary elections, Islami Oikya Jote won two out of 300 elected members in an alliance with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
