Mufti Izharul\\\'s son Harun on 15-day remand

A Dhaka court Thursday placed Hefajat-e-Islam nayeb-e-ameer Mufti Izharul Islam's son Harun Bin Izhar on a 15-day remand in three cases filed in connection with the May 5 violence unleashed by Hefajat-e-Islam men in the capital, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Erfan Ullah passed the order after investigation officers of the cases produced him before the court seeking 30 days' remand.
On October 8, Khulshi thana police in Chittagong arrested Harun from Isapur area of Hathazari Upazila in connection with the October 8 blast at a local madrasah in the port city.
Later, Mufti Harun was shown arrested in the three cases filed in connection with the May 5 violence and taken to Dhaka jail.
Three people were killed in the 'mysterious' explosion in a room on the 1st floor of the four-storey hostel of Jamiatul Ulum Islami Madrasa at Lalkhan Bazar in the city on October 7.
On October 8, two cases were filed against 12 people, including Mufti Izharul and Harun Izhar.
