Mufti Rahman new CSBIB chairman

Mufti Abdur Rahman has been elected chairman of the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) for the rest of the tenure of 2007-2010 replacing late Moulana Ubaidul Huq, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Chairmen and managing directors of the member-banks and chairmen and member secretaries of the relevant Shariah supervisory boards took part in the election held at the chairman's office of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) Tuesday last, said a press release.
IBBL Chairman ANM Abduz Zaher conducted the poll as the chairman of election commission while Maulana Salahuddin and M Azizul Huq worked as the election commissioners.
