Muggers kill one to snatch motorbike in Pabna

PABNA, Feb 22: Muggers killed an engineer to snatch his motorbike in Topgari point on Pabna-Pakshey road in Pabna Sadar Upazila early Friday.
The victim Md Nadim Hossain Bappi, 32, son of Mozammel Hossain of Atua Mohalla under Pabna municipality area was the engineer of Pakshey CNG refuelling station of the district, police said.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Pabna sadar police station Kazi Haniful Islam said Bappi was returning home from his work place at about 12:30am on Friday. When he reached Madhpur Topgari point of the road, the alleged muggers caught him by rope. They killed him on the spot and snatched his motorbike, the OC said.
Police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with Pabna sadar police station but the accused are yet to be arrested till now.
