Muggers loot gold necklace from woman in Sylhet

SYLHET, Aug 1 (UNB): In a filmy style, muggers took away a gold necklace from a woman after taking her along with her husband hostage at gunpoint at Hazrai in South Surma Upazila Friday afternoon.
Two muggers intercepted an auto-rickshaw carrying Khasru Miah, his wife Hasna Begum and son on Hazrai-Kamal Bazar road around 12:45pm, said Khasru.
Later, the hoodlums put firearms to their chests and took away the necklace amounting to 1 tola of gold from the neck of Hasna, uttering 'Eid Mubarak'.
The victims were going to their relative's house in Chhatak Upazila of Sunamganj from their house at Jamalpur village in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet.
On information, police visited the spot.
