Muggers looted Tk10 million, three shot in Ctg

Armed robbers shot three people and looted Tk10 million from Mithachhara Bazar area under Mirsarai upazila of Chittagong Sunday.
The victims were identified as Emran Uddin, owner of three filling stations, his manager Jahangir Alam, 45, and driver Barun Chakravarty, 30.
Mirsarai Police Station OC Imtiaz Bhuiya said Emran Uddin along with his manger was going to a branch of Pubali Bank to deposit the money, collected from his filling stations earlier in the morning.
As they reached near the bank, a gang of muggers riding in two motorbikes opened fire on them and looted the bag containing the money, leaving the trio injured with bullets, he added.
The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Police were trying to nab the muggers, the OC said.
