Muggers shoot businessman, rob gold

Muggers have made off with 150 bhoris of gold after shooting a businessman in Old Dhaka, police say. Gouranga Ghosh, 50, has been admitted to Mitford hospital. Thursday night’s incident took place at Tantibazar near Ghosh’s shop, police’s Kotwali Zone Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ahaduzzaman Mia said. Muggers attacked him as he was leaving his shop and snatched a bag containing about 150 bhoris of gold, his son Liton Ghosh has told police, according to a news agency.
