Muggers snatch Tk 1.5m from vendor in city

Armed muggers snatched away Tk 1.50 million from a vegetable vendor after injuring him at Sutrapur in the city Sunday, police said.
Witnesses said a group of 6-7 young men intercepted a rickshaw carrying Abdul Jalil (34), the vegetable trader, and one of his employees Wasim in Lalkuthir area when they were going to deposit the money to a branch of National Bank about 12:30pm.
Jalil was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
