Muggers snatch Tk 1.5m in Moulvibazar

Muggers stabbed a man and snatched Tk 1.5 million from him at Uchhlapur under Kulaura Upazila at Moulvibazar on Sunday evening. Victim Iqbal Ahmad, manager of Gornvelly CNG Filling Station, came under an attack by a gang of armed miscreants while he was carrying the money of the filling station to deposit it to a nearby bank. Witnesses said the hoodlums riding three motorcycles came to the area intercepted him while he was going to the bank to deposit the money. The muggers beat and stabbed him, snatched Tk 1.5m from him and fled away. Locals rescued and rushed him to Kulaura Health Complex, according to a news agency.
