Muggers stab businessman, loot Tk 0.1m

Muggers looted cash and valuables from a businessman after stabbing him at Mandar Tala at Magura Sadar Upazila on Thursday evening. The victim is Akhil Kumar Saha, 42, a resident of Shatrujitpur Bazar area in the Upazila. Police said Akhil Kumar, a local businessman, was returning home from Magura town by a motorbike around 7:00pm. A gang of muggers intercepted his bike at Mandar Tala on Magura-Shatrujitpur road and stabbed him indiscriminately with knives, leaving him injured. The muggers snatched away cash Tk 0.1 million and valuable items from him. Akhil was rushed to the Sadar Hospital, according to a news agency.
