Muggers takes away Tk 0.27m from a salesman

Armed muggers forcibly took away Tk 0.27 million from a salesman of Banglalink after injuring him at Tongi in the capital Thursday afternoon, police said.
An officer of Tongi police station told the FE that a gang of unidentified muggers intercepted Rubel, the salesman of the mobile phone operator, at Madhumati road of the area while he was returning to office after collecting the amount from its dealers at about 1:15pm.
The muggers shot Rubel as he refused to hand over the amount to the gang, leaving him seriously wounded. Later the gang fled the spot rapidly without facing any resistance from anybody.
Critically injured Rubel was rushed to a local clinic from where he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
However, the police are yet to arrest anyone in connection with the incident.
