Mugging on rise before Eid

As the Eid approaches nearer the muggers in the city are more desperate and we often read about muggers snatching away money and injuring people. Life is becoming increasingly insecure. The law-enforcement agencies should strengthen vigilance to ensure safety of the city-dwellers. Media reported about the muggers shooting an engineer at Shamoly area and running away with two hundred fifty thousand taka. It concerns me personally as I often withdraw big amount of money from banks for official purposes. It is better people try to avoid carrying big amount in cash, and instead use pay order method as it is secure and safe. Many companies pay their workers' salary in cash. They should encourage their workers to open bank account so that their salary can be directly deposited to their account without any hassle.
