Muhith for separate categories in SME, CSR awards

Finance Minister AMA Muhith Sunday urged the ICAB to introduce separate categories for SME and CSR to honour private and public sector entities for best published accounts and reports for national award.
He said the two categories -- small and medium enterprises (SME) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) -- should be considered for national awards for best published accounts and reports.
He made this comment in a national award giving ceremony for best published accounts and reports 2009, arranged by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) at a city hotel.
Md. Abu Sayeed Khan, chairman of review committee for published accounts and reports of the council-ICAB, said the Institute will soon introduce two separate categories for giving the national award.
The ICAB honoured 22 financial institutions, non-government development partners and public sector entities for publishing best accounts and reports for 2009.
