Thursday, 31 March 2011

Finance Minister AMA Muhith left Dhaka for Paris Wednesday on an official visit to boost bilateral relations between the two countries, reports UNB. This visit is likely to increase the FDI (foreign direct investment) flow to Bangladesh as well as boost bilateral trade, said officials at the Economic Relations Division (ERD). The finance minister is leading a five-member delegation comprising representatives from ERD, Commerce Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Board of Investment (BoI). An 18-member business delegation will join him during the tour. During the visit Muhith will meet his French counterpart. The delegation is scheduled to return home on April 6.
