MUNSHIGANJ, Jan 7 (UNB): Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said the government would allocate money in the next budget to preserve the Nateshwar archeological site, comparing it with Mohenjo-daro.
The finance minister said this at a press conference arranged by Bikrampur Foundation on Saturday to display recent archeological discoveries in Nateshwar village in Tongibari upazila, which has emerged as a major Buddhist discovery.
A team of archeologists, involved in the digging work of Nateshwar Buddhist site, will be sent to Pakistan to visit Mohenjo-daro to acquire more knowledge, Muhith said.
