Muktijoddha emerge Group C champs

Sudanese striker James Moga's hat-trick steered Muktijoddha Sangsad KC to top of Group C in Independence Cup football, eliminating Arambagh KS by 4-1 at Bir Shreshtha Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city Sunday, reports UNB.
The Muktis will play in the 4th quarter-final against contenders Mohammedan SC Tuesday (April 19) at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Moga made mincemeat of Arambagh in Sunday's match. The Sudan recruit netted thrice, in 53rd, 72nd and 86th minute after Nasir drew the first blood for Muktis in the 28th minute.
Liton netted Arambagh's consolation goal in the 87th minute.
The win put the Freedom Fighters atop Group C while Arambagh made exit with the loss.
