Muktijoddha Sangsad KC twice came from behind to pull off a thrilling last minute 2-2 draw against Mohammedan SC Tuesday to retain the top slot in the GrameenPhone Bangladesh League, reports UNB.
In the day's match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS), Nigerian forward Sunday Chizoba struck twice for Mohammedan SC while Sudanese striker James Saeed Moga and midfielder Alamgir Kabir Rana netted one goal apiece for Muktijoddha Sangsad KC.
Sunday Chizoba put Mohammedan SC ahead in the 24th minute after a brilliant solo effort. Taking a pass from Rwandan midfielder Amani, Chizoba raced forward with the ball before placing it in the open net after dodging past defender Saikat and finally onrushing Muktijoddha custodian Biplob (1-0).
James Saeed Moga leveled the margin for Muktijoddha Sangsad in the 30th minute with a powerful header from inside the danger zone after taking a cross from Argentine defender Luciano Thieller, giving Mohammedan goalie Al Hasan no time to react (1-1).
However, Mohammedan forward Sunday Chizoba stunned Muktojoddha Sangsad with another goal in the 39th minute. He raced with the ball from the left flank and placed it in the net with a push from inside the D-box (2-1).

Taking a through pass from Zahed Parvez, Rana unleashed a powerful grounder to send the ball home (2-2). Mohammedan SC clearly dominated the first half of the match, but failed to keep the tempo in the second half.
