Muktijoddha thrash Rahmatganj 4-1

Muktijoddha Sangshad Krira Chakra put up an impressive display as they recorded an overwhelming 4-1 win over hapless Rahmatganj Muslim Friends' Society in the Citycell Bangladesh League match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) in the city Monday, reports BSS.
This victory enabled Muktijoddha to climb to the fifth position from sixth.
Liberian forward Eugene Gray helped Muktijoddha to surge into the lead in the 21st minute with a fierce grounder into the far post giving no chance to Rahmatganj custodian Nehal.
Midfielder Tajul Khan doubled the margin in the 38th minute with a beautifully struck side volley from the right edge of the box.
Rahmatganj midfielder Mamun reduced the margin when he beautifully beat Muktijoddha goalie Tarek at the far post.
Eugene Gray made no mistake to latch on a Bidyut free kick past onrushing Nehal in the 53rd minute to take a three goal cushion and midfielder Rony completed the misery in the 72nd minute cracking a low drive past Nehal.
Muktijoddha took their tally to 24 from 21 games while Rahmatganj remained stationed on their previous 20.
In the other matches of the day Feni Soccer (29 points) shared the points with visiting Chittagong Mohammedans (21 points) at the Feni Stadium and Shuktara (15 points) also played a goalless tie with Farashganj (19 points).
