Munshiganj SP made OSD

Superintendent of police of Munshiganj M Habibur Rahman has been withdrawn in connection with the assault of Gazaria UNO by a cop.
Habibur was made officer on special duty (OSD) and attached to the Police Headquarters on charges of dereliction of duty, indulging in corruption, misconduct and failure to contain violence during the upazila polls in Gazaria, said police sources, according to a news agency.
He handed over the charge to additional police super M Zakir Hossain Thursday night.
The Munshiganj district administration has also lodged 22 complaints against Habibur Rahman to the Cabinet Division.
The Public Administration Ministry formed a three-member inquiry committee, headed by the Cabinet Division additional secretary NM Ziaul Alam, to look into the allegations.
