Murder attempt case filed against Hasina, Joy

A case has been filed against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, and 220 others for allegedly trying to murder a man in the capital's Mohammadpur during the July Uprising, reports bdnews24.com.
The victim, 38-year-old Sohel Rana, filed the case at Mohammadpur Police Station on Wednesday.
On Friday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sefat Ullah ordered a report on the matter to be submitted by July 20.
Other accused individuals named in the case include Awami League General Secretary and former road transport minister Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and former law minister Anisul Huq.
It also accuses former prime ministerial advisor Salman F Rahman, former ministers Hasanul Haq Inu, Rashed Khan Menon and Dipu Moni, singer and former MP Momtaz Begum, actress Shomi Kaiser, and former DMP Detective Branch chief Harun-or-Rashid.
According to the complaint, Sohel joined a protest march on August 5 around 2:30pm in front of Mayur Villa at the Mohammadpur three-road intersection, as part of the July Uprising.
