Murray to cope with ankle injury

Friday, 27 February 2009

British number one Andy Murray expects to be able to cope with an ankle injury during his Dubai Championship quarter-final with Richard Gasquet Thursday, reports BBC.

Murray beat Arnaud Clement 6-2 6-3 in the last 16 on Wednesday, despite his ongoing ankle problem.

"If it's like it was today I should be fine," he told BBC Sport Wednesday.

Murray and Gasquet are scheduled on court at about 1700 GMT - following the match between top seed Novak Djokovic and Marin Cilic.

The 21-year-old Scot is due to play in the Davis Cup next week, and Great Britain captain John Lloyd will be concerned that his star man is not a certainty to line up against Ukraine.
