Music director Farid Ahmed dies

Renowned music director Farid Ahmed passed away at a city hospital on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The music director had been put on life support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Square Hospital since April 11. He tested positive for COVID-19 last month along with his wife Shiuly Akhter.
He was taken to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) on March 25. Alongside coronavirus, he was battling kidney and diabetes-related complications.
Farid Ahmed won the National Film Award in 2017 as the music director in the film 'Tumi Robe Nirobe'.
