Music maestro AR Rahman in Dhaka

Music maestro AR Rahman has come to Bangladesh and it is indeed good news for the Bangladeshi music lovers. AR Rahman is a world famous music composer and he has been described as the world's most prolific and prominent composer by the Time magazine. Rahman has come to Bangladesh to attend the opening ceremony of T-twenty World Cup and music lovers are already rushing to confirm their seats.
His works for film and the stage has earned him the nickname "the Mozart of Madras" rightly. He was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He came to limelight in 1992 by the Tamil movie "Roja" directed by famous director Mani Ratnam and from then he never looked back.  
In 2008, he won a Golden Globe and two Academy Awards as the first Asian music director for British movie "Slumdog Millionaire". His music touches the soul of people irrespective of caste, creed, language and country. Rahman is involved with various charitable works and he is a very humble and down to earth person. It is indeed an honour to receive AR Rahman in our country.
