Musical evening at Bangladesh embassy in Berlin

The Bangladesh Embassy in Germany organized a classical instrumental musical evening based on 'Gitanjali', a book of poetry composed by Nobel Laureate Poet Rabindranath Tagore, at Bangladesh House in Berlin on November 3, reports BSS. The embassy arranged the musical evening as part of its yearlong celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, according to a message received in Dhaka Saturday. Foreign artistes Laura Petchan (USA) and Frank Schubert (Germany) on tabla, Mila Morgenstern (Germany) on flute and Ms. Viorica Buckow (Germany) performed the musical evening. A good number of diplomats based in Berlin along with non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs), eminent German artistes and journalists enjoyed the function.
