Indians had some solace at last by beating Bangladesh by 77 runs in the last match of the three-match one-day series at Mirpur in Dhaka on Wednesday with the series already lost.
The hosts fought a losing battle in their chase of 318 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The hosts were all out for 240 after 47th over.
However, the Bangladesh camp's ace pacer Mustafizur Rahman continued his record-setting spree by clinching two more wickets on the day to equal the Australian Harris' feat of most wickets in a three-match series. Mustafizur clinched 13 wickets in the series with two wickets in the debut match and six wickets in the second match.
Bangladesh have lost the match, but they have been the winners of this series: this is their first series win over India.
