MV Miraj launch capsize: 1 more body recovered

Another body was recovered from Meghna River on Thursday, seven days after a launch capsized in the river at Gazaria Upazila in Munshiganj district. So far, 58 bodies have been recovered from the accident site at Daulatpur near Gazaria Launch Ghat. The body of a girl child was found around 11am today, Gazaria Police Station OC Ferdous Hossain said. The baby’s identity could not be known as yet. On May 15, the launch ‘MV Miraz-4’ capsized with more than 200 passengers on board after it was caught in a storm on its way to Sureshwar in Shariatpur from Dhaka, according to a news agency.
