Hasina told Biden at G20 summit, FM discloses

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told US President Joe Biden that her only aim in life is to ensure a prosperous life of the people of her country.
Foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen disclosed this while talking to reporters after a meeting in Dhaka city on Tuesday.
The PM had a conversation with the US president on the sidelines of G20 Summit in the Indian capital of New Delhi from September 09-10.
Dr Momen said the prime minister met a number of global leaders during the Summit.
"And her conversation with US president Joe Biden was held in a very warm and friendly manner. All of them looked very happy during that conversation," he added.
PM Hasina told President Biden that she lost all of her relatives in 1975 and since then she treats all the people of her country as her family members.
"In line with the dream of my father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, my only aim is to ensure a happy and prosperous life of my people," Dr Momen quoted the PM.
In response to the remarks of PM Hasina, President Biden said he is aware of the spectacular development of Bangladesh under her leadership.
"The US president termed the recent development of Bangladesh impressive," added Dr Momen.
PM Hasina's participation in G20 summit was very fruitful as the country spectacular achievement could be showcased in front of the global leaders through it.
Dr Momen said the world leaders lauded the Bangladesh government for successfully managing a country of 170 million people.
Responding to a query whether the Teesta issue was discussed during Hasina's meeting with her Indian counterpart, he said they decided to discuss the pending issues at official levels.
Earlier, Dr Momen was addressing a programme styled 'Smart Bangladesh Roundtable Discussion for Youth Perspective' hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
"The development and deployment of cutting-edge technology, including block chain and neural network, underscores the government's commitment to creating a culture of innovation within its operations."
"It also indicates an increasing willingness to grow in-house competencies in AI and adjacent technologies," concluded Dr Momen.
Dr Abul Kalam Azad, former principal secretary and co-chair of Smart Bangladesh Network (SBN), was present as the special guest.
Dr Syed Muntasir Mamun, chief innovation officer and DG (trade, investment and ICT), MoFA, and Ashfaq Zaman, strategic communications adviser of a2i, also spoke there.
