Myanmar army chief meets Mubeen

A visiting Myanmar delegation, led by deputy commander-in-chief of Defence services and commander-in-chief of Armed Forces Lt Gen Soye Wine, met Bangladesh army chief General Md Abdul Mubeen on Tuesday, reports UNB. Various professional matters came up for discussion at the meeting, said an ISPR release. Earlier, the Myanmar army chief placed wreaths at the 'Shikha Anirban' at Dhaka Cantonment to pay homage to the members of the Armed Forces who had embraced martyrdom in the liberation war in 1971. Later, the delegation went to 'Senakunja' at Dhaka Cantonment. A smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces gave a guard of honour to the Myanmar Army chief there.
