Myanmar General due in September

Senior Vice General of Myanmar Maung Aye will pay an official visit to Bangladesh next month (September). Foreign Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury Wednesay chaired an inter-ministerial meeting of the senior officials to prepare a common strategy for the upcoming visit of General Aye. Foreign Secretary (in-charge) Touhid Hossain was also present in the meeting that discussed the agenda for the forthcoming talks. There had been a series of bilateral meetings since the Foreign Adviser's visit to Yangoon in April. — UNB
