Myanmar guards abduct 16 Bangladeshis

Border security forces from Myanmar allegedly abducted 16 Bangladeshis and seized two fishing trawlers while they were fishing in Bangladesh waters in the Bay of Bengal near Saint Martin Island Monday evening. The Nasaka members released three of them after demanding Tk 0.3 million for the freedom of the others and the return of the trawlers. Ali Ahmad, Abdus Shukkur and Rahmat Ullah reported the incident to the locals after their release.
