Mystery shrouded the death of a college girl in the city on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Lamiya Noor, 18, a 2nd year student of Dhaka City College. Daughter of Nur Mohammad, Lamiya was residing at 1/D Green Corner in Green Road area. UNB quoting police, reports Lamiya's body was found hanging from the ceiling of her bedroom at about 6:00 pm on Tuesday. Quoting family members of the victim, police said inmates of her house rescued her and whisked her to Green Life Hospital where she was pronounced dead by the doctor at night. Sub-inspector Asgar of Kalabagan police station said they have recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for postmortem. No case was filed in this connection as of Wednesday morning, he added.
