Mystery shrouds death of housemaid in city

Mystery shrouded the death of a housemaid in Dhaka on Wednesday. Locals said a woman who was working as a domestic assistant at a city house died mysteriously in the morning. The deceased was identified as Yesmin, 28, a housemaid at a house in Dhanmondi. Housewife Shahana Begum said Yesmin fell from the varandah of their sixth floor apartment while she was watering flowers on a tub around 8.00am. Yesmin was rescued and whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital but she was declared dead. When contacted, the concerned police station said the incident is under investigation, according to a news agency.
