Mystery shrouds death of man in city

Mystery shrouded the death of a young man who died in Moghbazar in the city on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Habib Molla, 30, son of late Salauddin Molla of Baishdi area of Gopalganj district. Locals said Habib fell sick around 3:30am and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead at 5:00am. Police quoting locals said he was a drug addict, a claim Habib’s relatives and friends denied. Local sources said he met his tragic end taking excessive sedative tablets. Police said the post mortem report will state the cause of his death, according to a news agency.
