Mystery shrouds deaths of mother and her child

Mystery shrouded the deaths of a mother and her minor daughter in Dumuria upazila in Khulna district. Police recovered the bodies of Reshma, 22, and her one-and-half-year-old daughter from a house in Mothbaria village under the upazila. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dumuria Police Station Moshiur Rahman said, being informed, a police team rushed to the spot at about 1pm on Monday and recovered the bodies from a room after breaking closed door. Reshma's husband Mahbubur Rahman was absconding after the incident, he said. However, police could not confirm whether it was murder or suicide. No significant injury marks were found on the bodies during primary investigation. The bodies were sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) for autopsy, according to a news agency.
