Mystery shrouds housewife\\\'s death

Mystery shrouded the death of a young housewife in Chittagong on Saturday. Family memberas claimed that she committed suicide by jumping off the rooftop of a five-storey building in the port city early today but locals suspected that she might have been killed over a family feud. The victim was identified as Tania Akter, 28, wife of Mohammad Sagor, a resident of“Khaled Bhaban”, the multi-storey building situated in Char Chaktai under Bakalia police station. Police said Tania used to live with her husband in a rented flat on the 5th floor of “Khaled Bhaban.” She jumped off from the rooftop of the building around 12:30 am. Family members whisked her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead. Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy at about 1:00 am. Mohammad Mahsin, officer-in-charge of Bakalia thana, confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
